The Pike Room’s Green room has some MOODY LIGHTING. While looking for moments to capture for my friend Dylan of Young Ritual, a few people stepped into some insane gorgeous light - so I had to make them all stop and pose, of course. Cmon, right?

The best feeling is making an artist’s vision come to life. I am so so so happy about what my friend and incredible artist, Jahshua Smith, we were able to create- all in one day. Jahsh had an incredibly clear vision of what he wanted for his album art. Anastasiia and Alex’s couple’s portraits were shot at Michigan State University’s Horticulture and Children’s Gardens. I can’t believe how lucky we got - the day was beautiful. The flowers were in bloom, the sun was shining, and I’m not sure I’ll get over how much I love their photos.

Design Quintessentials is a floral and paper goods designer based in Metro Detroit. Ching Tan, the visionary behind Design Quintessentials, is a creative mastermind and all-around boss lady. We met at styled shoot that she coordinated (SO MUCH WORK GOES INTO THESE!) and I was lucky to be asked to produce some video for her brand.

This styled shoot took place at the Iroquois Club in Metro Detroit. Head planning was done by mastermind Ching, who is the genius behind Design Quintessentials. Beau Audi looks amazing in this Krustallos couture gown.

I moved to Detroit! I’ve been editing and making my house a home, and hadn’t done much creative work lately. I changed this quickly, shooting some portraits downtown with Liz and Anica, pictured here. I shot these on my 35mm SLR magic Cinema lens- usually used for video because it is a manual lens. I love the dreamy look it gives and the bokeh. If you’re here in Detroit, message me to set up a shoot!
Liz and I had talked shooting downtown for a while, and we were able to recently. I’m really happy with the resulting photos.
Liz works in music management at a non-profit in Detroit, is a crazy talented singer and artist, and is an all-around great human being. It was a rainy day, which is pretty ok as far as light goes- clouds are giant light diffusers.
Before the shoot, Liz made a collaborative Pinterest board of what kind of look she wanted and what kind of photos she was into. This was a great inspiration for me, and helpful to make sure I knew exactly what she wanted as my client.
Cute coffee shops/stops and shoots go well together too. We stopped at Urban Bean to heat up and take some indoor photos.

Every year, Reotown has this incredible event called Thrift Store Gala. It’s made of a bunch of local vendors, thrift stores, and the performers are incredible. There is burlesque, live music, thrift-style shopping, and a photo booth. I always love attending Reotown events in Lansing, MI, and capturing it this year was an honor.
Earlier this year, I talked with Young Pioneer, a band out of Mid Michigan, about a promo idea they had. Something that would showcase their personality as a band, and also show what their shows are like. This is what we came up with after an incredible show. Check them and their music out!
Jeff and Kirissa are incredible people. It was such a joy and honor to capture their love-filled day at Mission Point on Mackinaw Island. I can’t wait to share more, but here’s a peek at their incredible day.
What a gorgeous day Johnathan and Sabrina had - every single moment and detail was beautiful. Their handwritten vows had me crying while editing.

Their ceremony took place at Our Savior Lutheran Church and reception at The Crowne Plaza. Their photos took place in the Church and some in a gorgeous forest.
